New West Coast Chapter
We are pleased to announce that like-minded conservationists across the country in Washington state have joined the SNLT as our Pacific Chapter. After some research and consideration, our fellow habitat-aware sportsmen/sportswomen in Washington recognized the advantages of teaming up with the SNLT to get a fast start on some important projects in their area. As a chapter, they receive immediate nonprofit status and can begin saving/improving local habitat as part of the SNLT.
Big Plans ahead for new chapter
The Pacific Chapter will immediately be applying for a grant for restoration of an important salt marsh known locally as Skidmore Slough. The amibitous chapter also intends to apply for additional grants for a Riparian Restoration project at the Willapa River and Robinson Creek. Further ahead is possible Salmon Recovery Project and associated land acquisitions to promote wise use of natural resources.
We welcome the Pacific Chapter to the Sportsmens National Land Trust! To contact the Pacific Chapter, email Tom Gibbons at middlepalix@mindspring.com Mark Ashley at mlashley@techline.com or Terry Rubey at terry_rubey@msn.com. |
